Role Overview:As a PLC Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and commissioning control systems for PLC-based panels. This is a home-based role with travel to various client sites across England, where you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, creating Functional Design Specifications, and delivering bespoke solutions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret customer control philosophies and create comprehensive Functional Design Specifications.
  • Develop, test, and commission PLC and HMI code to meet project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits across designated regions to support the commissioning process.
  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and meet client expectations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in PLC and HMI programming and commissioning.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage your time effectively, and be self-motivated.
  • Experience with Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLC & HMI systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems (preferred but not essential).
  • Background in automation or process control; experience with UK Water Authority projects is ideal but not mandatory.
