Software Development Engineer

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Software Development Engineer on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.

Hours: Mon-Fri | Mon-Thurs 8.30-5.15 & Fri 8.30-4.15 – Fully Office based

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 DOE.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and enhancing our own C++ based gauge/machine control software (GaugeXplorer).
  • Designing and creating bespoke software applications.
  • Creating  interface drivers for a large range of hardware including motors, sensors, printers and cameras.
  • Providing direct customer and in-house support for production and service departments.
  • Occasional travel to customers facilities both UK and overseas

The successful Candidate:

  • Computer degree level in software/computer engineering and maths.
  • Visual C++ (essential), C#, SQL, in depth understanding of Windows OS
  • Stemmer CVB, Machine Control, Image Processing  (Advantageous)
