Learning Support Assistant | SEN Support | Long Term / Permanent | Telford

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a committed and supportive team at a primary school based in Telford. The successful candidate will work across the early years and key stage 1 classes to support children who have additional learning needs, as well as acting as a general Teaching Assistant within the classroom.

Start Date: April 2025

Location: Telford

Contract: Full Time

Rate: £85 - £104 per day

What will your responsibilities be?

- To provide 1:1 and small group support to children within the classroom

- Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff, meeting the children's specific needs

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and social integration

- Monitor and record certain children's progress, communicating effectively with the SENCO and other relevant professionals

What do you need for this role?

- Experience working in a SEND focused position within a school or care setting.

- An understanding of the specific challenges faced by children with complex needs and a commitment to inclusive education.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the child, parents, teaching staff, and external professionals.

- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the unique learning journey of the child.
