Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Location:Telford, Shropshire
  • Pay Rate:Up to £12.82 per hour (DOE)
  • Hours:8:45am 3:15pm

Who Are We?

Excell Supply is a leading education recruitment agency in North Wales, and we are actively recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in primary and secondary schools across Wrexham. You will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who has strong relationships with local schools to help match you with the right opportunities.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
  • Assisting with daily classroom activities and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Encouraging and supporting students to engage with their learning, both academically and socially
  • Providing tailored support based on each pupils individual learning needs
  • Working closely with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and implement strategies
  • Promoting positive behaviour management techniques

What Were Looking For:

  • A passion for working with children with SEN
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (working with SEN children is desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is desirable but not essential
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
