Do you want to join a leading UK manufacturer of away-from-home paper hygiene products based on Stafford Park, Telford?

We are looking for permanent a Technical Operator to join our growing Production team.

As the Technical Operator you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a manufacturing role using state-of-the-art machinery, with opportunities for career progression. Being part of our head-office you will play an important role in helping us to be the market-leading partner of choice in the away-from-home tissue industry, delivering high quality products to our customers.

As Technical Operator you will work a 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shift pattern of both days (06:00-18:00) and nights (18:00-06:00).



About the Role

As our Technical Operator you will perform regular machine autonomous maintenance checks, highlight improvement ideas and work collaboratively with all levels of management in leading initiatives and delivering department efficiency gains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carry out pre-use lifting and equipment guarding and quality checks
  • Escalate any defects to management team
  • Proactively update tools such as Process Fault Trees, SOP's, Equipment Operating Manuals
  • Create and maintain machine programs
  • Provide Operator cover for running the line in periods of Holidays, absence and due to business demand

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in FMCG environment
  • Previous Senior Operator experience
  • Experience with fault finding, machine set ups, product change over
