About Us

I Need Staff Today Limited is a recruitment agency based in Wolverhampton. We are looking for candidates with experience in MIG/TIG welding who can read technical drawings and work with aluminium and steel fabrication.

Our client is a UK-based manufacturing company specializing in access and loading systems within the Aviation industry, serving a worldwide clientele. They also manufacture aluminium access ramps for disabled access and commercial use. Additionally, they have supplied portable aircraft steps that can be stored in aircraft holds for international clients.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MIG / TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our clients team based in Telford (TF3 ***). The role requires someone who can work independently after training and contribute to high-quality manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up components for welding based on specifications.

  • Determine the correct equipment and methods according to material requirements.

  • Read engineering drawings and take detailed measurements to plan layouts.

  • Cut, join, and weld materials as per design specifications.

  • Analyse engineering drawings and ensure precision in fabrication.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.

RequirementsEssential:
  • Some experience in MIG/TIG welding of aluminium and/or steel.

  • Ability to operate drill machines, bandsaws, cut-off saws, and welding machines safely.

  • Capability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in aviation or structural fabrication.

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations in welding and fabrication.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in welding.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.

  • Team player with good communication skills.

  • Flexible and proactive attitude.

  • Strong time management skills.
