Production Operative
Hours:Monday to Friday (various shifts available)
Morning shift:6am - 2pmMid shift:2pm - 10pmNight shift:10pm - 6am
Salary:26,200 (Morning Shift) 29,400 (Mid shift) 32,000 (Night shift)
Immediate start & full training provided
Comton Group are pleased to be recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of their market leading Steel Stockholding client in the Henstridge area.
This position is a progressive role and offers thorough training and development. This role would suit any candidate looking to build on their current experience within the Steels environment as well as candidates seeking a new position in the Steel Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing of Steel products and stock
- Manufacturing a variety of products using CNC machinery; from engineering drawings
- Daily checks of materials
- Ensuring maintenance of equipment
- Operation of Plasma Cutting Machine
- Operate forklifts, CombiLifts and the crane safely and in a controlled manner
- Attend training courses when required/requested
Skills/Experience preferred but not essential
- Experience within the engineering/Steels industry
- Ability to adapt and grow within the company
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings
- Forklift/Overhead Crane licences
- CNC Machine Operating
