Morson Talent are recruiting a Manufacturing Technology Engineer / ERP Data Systems Analyst, for our Aerospace and Defence client based in Templecombe, Somerset.

Manufacturing Technology Engineer / ERP Systems Data Analyst

1.1 Role Summary
To contribute to the definition, implementation, and maintenance of the Industrial technologies for existing products (work cell embedded) through day-to-day technical support to the onsite industrial footprint. Potential candidate also plays a key role within the wider Industrial footprint for key products, developing and progressing ERP data quality which improves industrial maturity and mitigates process relating risks.

1.2 Role Criteria
(1) The following details the expected criteria for the successful conductance of the above stated role:
(a) Identify opportunities for manufacturing technology capital purchases with financial assessment (Cost-Benefit Analysis & ROI's) completed in order to drive business competitiveness.
(b) Is accountable for the setup, preparation and optimisation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool for a defined area, or product line, i.e. defining and agreeing manufacturing routings and item definition for a given product line.
(c) Defines and optimises manufacturing documentation, tools, workflows for manufacturing and inspection based on the information supplied by engineering departments and guarantees the production data (ERP).
(d) Contributes to the technological innovation to reduce costs and workflows, whilst guaranteeing the feasibility and reproducibility of the process.
(e) Elaborates and implements tests & control plans for manufacturing technologies. As such, defines and develops the test procedures and associated means for data verification as outputted from the ERP system.
(f) Contributes to the capitalisation of the experiences fed back from the production line to ensure lessons learnt are captured in new product introduction, as well as the data maintained through the ERP system.
(g) Contributes to the definition and the application of applicable baselines, as well as support, to the end users of the manufacturing process.
(h) Develops the skills within the function and provides the appropriate trainings.
(i) Contributes to compliance of the production process with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) applicable regulations.

1.3 Role Requirements
a) Excellent understanding of ERP systems, with previous experience (>5 years) of ERP use within a manufacturing environment. Oracle experience preferred.
b) Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, with prior experience involving electro-mechanical products.
c) Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering – fundamentals required.
d) Good communication skills.
e) Excellent workload management.
f) Character must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
g) SC clearance essential. BPSS is not enough for areas of working.

Type: 6month contract, likely to be extended for further 6months.

Pattern: 37hrs a week, full time onsite (potentially some WFH after the initial 2-3 months)

PAYE: £32.18 + £3.88ph holiday pay in the first 12weeks, then £5.17 ph holiday pay.

Umbrella rate: £44.00ph
