Part Time Accounts Administrator required for private Estate office, located near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

The successful person will be required to work 12 hours a week over 2 days.

In return you will be offered a good salary, a generous pension after 3 months service and staff discount scheme across the Estate.

Role

To undertake all tasks connected with bookkeeping and basic financial functions of the Estate (including the domestic household). You will be required to take ownership of all day-to-day accounting tasks and to lend support with office administration where necessary.

Key responsibilities

  • Entry of purchase and sales invoices
  • Entry and reconciliation of customer and supplier payments and receipts
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll-monthly payroll & pension submissions. Annual P11D & P60's
  • VAT quarterly returns including partial exemptions
  • Monitoring cashflow across multiple accounts
  • Preparation of monthly reports
  • Preparation of management accounts for all Estate enterprises
  • Ongoing liaison with accountants for the purpose of completing tax returns and year end accounts
  • Budget management
  • Support with day-to-day office administration

Personal Specification

  • A solid working knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Qualified to a minimum of AAT level or similar
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of Xero software package is highly desirable
  • Team player with a positive attitude to change, who thrives within a busy supportive team environment
  • Polite, well presented and easy to get along with
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Good IT skills (must have strong MS office especially excel)
  • Comfortable taking ownership and being proactive

A car driver essential with own transport as the property is not served by public transport
