MB696: Trainee Survival Equipment TechnicianLocation: TetburySalary: £23,000paCompany Benefits: Generous holiday allowance, Matched contribution pension schemeOverview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Trainee Survival Equipment Technician on a permanent basis due to growth located at their Tetbury depot.No previous experience is necessary in survival equipment, however a willingness and interest in practical applications and aviation would be advantageous.A specialist hands-on role, the trainee will have the opportunity to work with all aspects of the business servicing & maintaining life saving equipment such as parachutes. life rafts, life jackets and aircrew equipment, for both the military and civilian sectors. This will take place at scheduled intervals to approved requirements and industry standards.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Servicing & maintaining survival equipment to company/OEM manuals & guidelines.
  • Performing survival equipment function checks & fault diagnosis.
  • Assembly, testing & fault finding of survival equipment.
  • Repair & replace of components.
  • Reading & interpreting engineering data & drawings.
  • Working with a safe selection and use of mechanical tools.

Skills and Qualifications:
