An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Spa Manager to join our clients award-winning Spa following on from a significant wellness expansion. This role will support the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operation of both the Spa and Fitness Club, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, efficient service delivery, and a seamless experience for all clients.

As Assistant Spa Manager, you will be a key member of the management team, directly supporting the Spa Manager and playing an active role in the leadership of the team. This is a hands-on position that requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for wellness, attention to detail and a drive for excellence.

The Role:

  • Support the Spa Manager and Spa Director, in the overall management of the Spa and Fitness Club operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Direct line Manager for the front of house overseeing a team of 25
  • Rota, scheduling and recruitment for the Front of House team
  • Inspire, and guide the Spa’s Head of Department team, providing support to staff in wider departments
  • Assist with Membership inquiries, conducting tours, and guiding prospective members through the sign-up process
  • Help in maintaining strong member relationships to maximise satisfaction and Member retention
  • Assist with driving Club revenue targets and assist in developing and executing strategic plans to meet these goals
  • Monitor guest feedback, addressing concerns and ensuring that service standards are consistently exceeded
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe working environment for both staff and guests
  • Coordinate with the cleaning team to uphold rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout all Spa areas
  • Actively participate in team training and development, supporting staff performance and progression
  • Support with marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and promote the Spa’s offerings
  • Assist in managing the booking system, ensuring effective and efficient scheduling of appointments and classes

Skills:

- Previous experience Industry experience – essential

- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the Health and Wellness industry

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

- A strong understanding of wellness, spa treatments, and fitness

- Understanding of pool plant rooms – preferable but not essential

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships

- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain attention to detail

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
