Position: Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Teversham, onsite
Salary: 55,000 - 70,000, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural development of electronic systems for high-performance applications.
- Design and develop circuits, including:
- H-bridge solenoid, motor and inductive load interfaces.
- High and low-side MOSFET switches, current sensing, and measurement.
- Common op-amp circuits (amplifiers, filters, comparators), microcontrollers, and communications interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Power supplies (linear and switched-mode).
- Commission, debug, and validate designs.
- Produce PCB designs using third-party layout resources, including layout and routing.
- Perform analogue circuit simulations to predict performance and optimize designs.
- Generate documentation: specifications, design descriptions, design and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while adhering to industry-standard processes.
Highly Desirable Experience:
- Architectural development of complex electronic systems.
- Circuit design for power electronics and communication interfaces.
- PCB layout and routing experience.
- Experience with analogue circuit simulation and design validation.
- Proficient in creating clear design documentation and reports.
Desirable Experience:
- Safety-related hardware design and functionally safe hardware development.
- Experience in product qualification including EMC and environmental testing.
- Familiarity with design for manufacture and design for test principles.
- A background in reliability analysis (FMEA) and derating of components.
- Development of hardware test software.
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
