Position: Financial Accountant

  • Location: Tewkesbury
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

  • Reporting to: Financial Controller
  • Managing: 2 Assistant Accountants and 1 Purchase Ledger Administrator

The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will be a critical part of the finance team, handling key responsibilities such as:

  • Managing fixed asset accounting, month-end journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing accruals, national statistics forms, and annual reports (e.g., Gender Pay).
  • Leading the year-end accounts process, stock takes and responding to audit queries.
  • Analysing financial data, generating reports, and supervising the accounts team.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for candidates with:

Qualifications:

  • CIMA/ACCA certification or a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.

Experience:

  • Hands-on expertise in management accounts, treasury, and ledger processes.

Skills:

  • A keen eye for detail and strong numerical accuracy.
  • A proactive, dynamic, and team-oriented approach.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word (experience with Sage 200 is advantageous).
