Role: Interim Accountant

Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Interim Accountant for a leading company in Tewkesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to step into a key role within a flexible and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close: Preparation of month-end journal entries.
  • Expense & Revenue Allocation: Allocating expenses and revenues to the correct legal entities, cost centres, and accounts.
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconciliation of intercompany balances.
  • Cost Analysis: Reviewing, analysing, and commenting on monthly overhead costs compared to prior months and expectations.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Group Entity Invoicing: Raising recharge invoices between group entities.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Manipulating and analysing financial data to support management decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts.
  • Variance Analysis: Conducting variance analysis and providing insights to management.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Audit & Tax Support: Assisting with tax and audit queries.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience in similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
