Are you ready to join a thriving and dynamic company at the heart of product distribution? My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to become an integral part of their growing team.
About the Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising and reviewing sales invoices.
- Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate records.
- Adding new supplier/customer details to our database.
- Calculating VAT on purchases and managing related documentation.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining cash flow records.
- Raising credit and debit notes for stock or VAT discrepancies.
- Providing holiday cover within the finance team.
- Managing credit card processing and maintaining the credit control sheet.
- Supporting with general administration, filing, and incoming post.
- What We’re Looking For
Essential skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years in an Accounts Assistant role.
- Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel.
- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills.
- Calm under pressure and skilled in negotiation.
- High attention to detail and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
