Are you super savvy with reconciliations, happy to assist with month-end, and available & ready to get stuck in straight away? If so, this role could be just the ticket!

We are delighted to be assisting a long-standing client with their search for an Assistant Accountant to help out in the short-to-medium term whilst they undergo a departmental restructure; the initial contract duration will be circa. 3 months, but could well be extended or even lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key duties will include:

- Using SAGE to produce invoices
- Manage bank payments & reconciliations, including foreign currency payments
- Posting month end journals and assisting up to trial balance
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Corresponding with customers to ensure payment of invoices
- Generalist support in the accounts department, as directed by the Group FD

In order to be considered, you need to have:

- Significant experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills
- A diligent, professional approach to work
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages, and proficiency in using Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, lookups)
- Accountancy qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential
