We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join theTelecoms finance team with one of our clients in the Infrastructure and Utilities space. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate allocation of costs and recharges between legal entities and specific projects, enabling precise project cost reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Allocation:Ensure timely and accurate allocation of salaries and other costs to projects.
  • Inter-Entity Recharges:Allocate and recharge costs between legal entities within the business.
  • Financial Management:Manage prepayments, post month-end journals, and maintain fixed asset registers.
  • Banking Transactions:Assist in resolving queries related to banking transactions.
  • Intercompany Transactions:Raise monthly recharge entities and reconcile intercompany balances.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations:Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Cost Review:Review overhead costs against budget, investigate variances, and explain them in month-end results.
  • Central Functions Support:Answer queries from central functions, including cost coding and reporting.
  • Audit and Tax Support:Assist with audit and tax queries.
  • Budget Preparation:Provide support in preparing budgets.
  • General Finance Duties:Support day-to-day finance duties within the department.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Skills:Excellent communication, numerical, and computer literacy skills, with experience in using spreadsheets for financial data.
  • Attributes:Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Ability to build strong working relationships within the business.
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA Qualifications.
