topping up, draining and replacing machine fluids;
removing swarf (metal chips or filings) from machinery;
tidying workshop floor, washing floors and cleaning spills;
cleaning and packing components;
delivering products to customers using company van;
some basic general buildings maintenance tasks as and when needed (painting, replacing light bulbs, general upkeep and basic handyperson-type jobs);
some deburring of machined components as and when needed and
any associated duties as required.

Reporting to the Manager, your job will see you working on an engineering factory site, working with and around engineers operating specialist machinery. This is a busy and varied role for someone who takes a pride in their work and for someone who has a keen interest in making sure that the facility is kept well stocked, clean, tidy and organised to make sure colleagues can carry out their working day in a safe and effective manner.Experience of working in a similar engineering environment would be preferable, a driving licence is essential for this job.
