We arecurrently recruiting for a Skilled Machinist position, based in Tewkesbury. The position is for a global engineering provider into the Aviation and Defence sectors. This is a full time position and would be shift based (rolling 2 weeks). This would consist of 6am-2pm then 2pm-10pm shifts.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Machining Operations: Set up, operate, and perform manual and CNC machining processes, including Mills, Lathes, Grinding, Honing, EDMs, and Assembly.
- Process Setup: Carry out all setups for products routed through the machining process.
- Design Input: Provide advice on the design of fixtures, programs, and tools relevant to the machining processes.
- Training: Train and guide operators in machine operation and inspection criteria.
- Quality: Conduct self-inspections and complete necessary quality audits to obtain self certification inspection stamps.
