Site Manager - Solar PV and LED Systems Installation



About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Site Manager to join our forward-thinking organization in the renewable energy sector. In this critical position, you will oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of Solar PV and LED System installations across the UK. You'll ensure projects are executed efficiently while adhering to all technical specifications, safety standards, environmental considerations, and regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities



Site Management

  • Oversee daily operations on construction sites, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
  • Implement and enforce stringent health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all work meets required quality standards
  • Manage site documentation including permits, drawings, and project schedules


Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise diverse teams of professionals and tradespeople
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability among all site personnel
  • Provide clear direction and resolve conflicts effectively to maintain productive working relationships


Project Execution

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
  • Coordinate with design teams, engineers, and clients to ensure all specifications and requirements are met
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently to maximize project profitability
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and attend management meetings to provide project updates


Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure all work complies with current building regulations, health and safety legislation
  • Oversee quality control measures to maintain exceptional standards of workmanship
  • Manage permit applications and ensure regulatory compliance throughout all project phases
  • Promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices on all sites


Qualifications & Experience



Required

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid certification (EFAW or FAW)
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card
  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong track record in construction site management


Preferred

  • Experience in Solar PV installation (minimum 1 year)
  • Project management qualifications or demonstrable experience
  • Electrical knowledge and experience
  • Previous renewable energy sector experience
