Your new company

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading & well-established international manufacturing group to recruit a dynamic & experienced Credit Controller for their Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire site. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager within a close-knit finance team, you will be involved in a range of credit control and accounts receivable duties along with taking an active involvement in any relevant projects to support further business growth. An interesting permanent Credit Control role where you will really take ownership of your duties, adding value to the business, with both internal/external stakeholder interactions.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve ensuring customers pay outstanding balances in line with their agreed credit terms, reporting forecasts cash receipts, identifying payment issues in a timely manner and calculating sales rebates, along with processing credit notes. You will monitor credit insurance declarations, produce quarterly credit insurance submissions, and review/complete customer credit applications. You will work with the international shared service payables team to support with any financial queries related to accounts receivable/credit control, along with monitoring/reporting KPIs including days sales outstanding. You will assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties, including external audit queries related to accounts receivable/credit control, and be involved in any AR/Credit query resolution. You will support process improvement within your department and the wider business.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this varied Credit Control role, you will need experience in a similar position, an ability to work towards tight deadlines, manage your own workloads, with strong communication skills to build relationships both internally/externally at all levels. You will have a basic understanding of financial ratios or credit reports, knowledge of various financial systems with MS Excel skills. You will be hands-on and comfortable working within a close-knit finance team, adaptable to business needs with a self-motivated and confident working approach. Experience within the manufacturing sector with knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
