Role Dimensions:


- Responsibilities extend to the OBI Geospatial product range (Axis Range) and the roadmap, which is periodically updated.
- Daily collaboration with a global product development team.
- Individual contributor with the potential for minor line management (1-2 people) in the future.
- Occasional regional and global travel to support products, projects, and teams.



Role Description and Purpose:


The Senior Systems Engineer will play a key role in the development of algorithms and mathematical models supporting the operation of inertial sensing tools in mining environments.

This position will be a key contributor, evaluator, and recommender for sensor selection and sensor pack design across all inertial sensing products produced by OBI globally. Additionally, the role will involve upskilling global engineering and software development teams in signal processing techniques that deliver accurate inertial measurements in real-world applications.



Critical Experience and Qualifications:


- Proven experience with inertial sensors and related technology, such as AHRS, north-seeking functions, servo control, and gimbal stabilisation.
- Proficiency in C++ with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and application interface design.
- Degree in Systems Engineering or Applied Mathematics.
