Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working exclusively with One Legal to recruit a permanent Commercial Lawyer. One Legal is a shared legal service between four councils in Gloucestershire, offering a unique opportunity for ambitious lawyers/legal officers to work with a varied caseload. They are seeking an ambitious lawyer who is ready for a dynamic and challenging environment to help them grow their legal team.

About the Commercial Lawyer vacancy:

  • The successful candidate will be joining an experienced and supportive team of lawyers, providing a wide range of legal advice and support in relation to contracts and procurement.
  • The role will offer the opportunity to be involved with:
    • development of regeneration schemes.
    • grant funding for community based projects.
    • setting up joint venture companies for the delivery of council functions.
    • supporting the partners with implementation of the Procurement Act 2023.

Key duties of the Commercial Lawyer will include:

  • Full range of general contract and procurement matters.
  • Commercial work.
  • Construction contracts.
  • Grants (including subsidy control implications).
  • Projects.
  • Governance.
