Description
The Transport Manager will be responsible for;
- Oversee and manage all transport operations within the company
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transport services
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legislation
- Lead and manage the logistics team, promoting a positive work environment
- Continuously review processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Handle any transport-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally
- Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Promote and enforce safety standards within the transport department
Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the retail industry
- Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and legislation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Relevant qualifications in logistics or a related field
