Job Title: Mechanical Inspector/Quality Engineer

Location: Tewkesbury

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)

Flexible start times between 7 am and 8 am, with finishes between 4 pm and 5 pm.

Salary: 32,448 - 35,490

A leading company in the aerospace sector is seeking an experienced Mechnical Inspector/Quality Engineer to join its dynamic team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on CNC-milled prismatic components, CNC-turned machined parts, and fully assembled products to verify adherence to aerospace quality standards.
  • Detect and correct discrepancies in workshop documentation, including works order cards.
  • Accurately interpret and analyze 2D drawings and model specifications.
  • Employ Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and various electronic and handheld measuring tools for quality inspections.
  • Ensure effective and timely completion of root cause corrective actions.
  • Conduct quality reviews and execute internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee and manage both the internal and external calibration systems.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a similar engineering workshop environment within the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to uphold exceptionally high standards of process control in all aspects of quality.
