Our client one of the UK's leading independent, family-owned dairies, is looking for an Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly numerate, detail-oriented individual who is ready to train in Payroll and obtain a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification with our support.

Overview

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key part in our monthly payroll processing for over 500 employees, working closely with our Payroll Officer and the Human Resources team. This role includes managing HMRC reporting, pension administration, and handling various payroll-related tasks. You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, assisting with year-end processes, and providing support for payroll queries.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education in Finance or Business
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills, especially in Excel; Sage experience desirable

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with diligence
  • Some office experience is preferred

Day-to-day

  • Collaborating with the Payroll Officer and HR team
  • Processing payroll and managing related tasks
  • Assisting with year-end processes and payroll queries
