This is a chance to ensure that vital technology performs consistently, safely, and reliably across the most extreme environments – from the ocean floor to the edge of space.Location: TewkesburyEmployment Type:Full-Time Monday-Friday Hours:38 Hours per weekSalary: £35,000Holiday entitlement: 26 days + Bank holidays- Increasing with length of service.Benefits: Annual Bonus, Discounted Gym membership, Retail & Travel discount scheme and much more!What You’ll Do:Reporting to the General Manager, this role involves providing essential Quality Engineering support for Operations and Quality departments, with responsibilities including:
  • Overseeing inspection and certification control plans, including final sign-offs
  • Supporting Project Management with contract reviews and quality audits
  • Conducting production approvals, part inspections, and process audits
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification
  • Driving continuous improvement through data-driven quality initiatives
  • Working hands-on with technical documentation, engineering drawings, and defence standards
Requirements:looking for an experienced Quality Engineer, ideally from a defence or electronics manufacturing background, with strong knowledge of engineering drawings, technical documentation, and compliance standards. This role is ideal for candidates who are:
  • Skilled in internal audits to ISO 9001:2015 and experienced with APQP and Six Sigma
  • Confident with complex technical issues and able to communicate them clearly
  • Qualified and experienced quality auditor
  • Familiar with Defence Standards and IPC-A-610/IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
  • Familiar with electronic/electrical components and cabling
  • Educated to Diploma / Degree level (or equivalent) – preferably in an engineering environment
  • Proactive team players with excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
