Due to continued growth, strong client base & increasing pipeline of work, we are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within our specialist sub-contract company.

Working with an experience team of Quantity Surveyors your responsibilities will include

o Liaising with Contracts Managers regarding any potential disputes or disruption on projects.

o Reviewing sub-contract documentation for any differences between tender & quoting, highlighting clauses that will need investigation or amendment.

o Assisting with preparing final accounts, substantiation & any contract notices required.

o Liaising with Main contractors regarding instructions & variations for works.

o Assisting estimating team with pricing variations & guidance when complying with tender enquiries.

• Strong IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft office.

• Ability to negotiate and present professional image with clients.

• Understanding of construction Health & Safety & promoting safe working practice.

• Recognized qualification in Quantity Surveying, or working towards.

• Good attention to detail, able to focus & find key information while working both by yourself and as part of a friendly team.

• Occasional site visits, primarily office based role in Tewkesbury.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor requirements

• Some experience in preparation & review of main contract documents & sub-contract orders

• Good understanding of JCT D&B contracts & knowledge of construction law & principles, some exposure to NEC contracts would be beneficial.

• Experience of working in commercial construction as a Main contractor or Sub-contractor would be beneficial, although not necessary.

• Good organizational skills & ability to multi-task, working within a medium sized team of Contracts Managers, Estimators & Directors.
