Butler Rose is pleased to be recruiting for the role of Financial Accountant on behalf of a highly regarded organisation. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and motivated finance professional to take full ownership of one of their divisons and further their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will manage the day-to-day operations of the leasing entity while supporting key accounting functions within the main sales division. The position involves close collaboration with the sales team and external funding partners to ensure adherence to accounting standards and corporate policies.

This critical role encompasses managing financial operations, coaching a small team, and building strong stakeholder relationships to drive business success through precise financial reporting. This is office based Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (flexible working hours).

Key Responsibilities* Leadership & Management: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to two part-time leasing administrators. * Financial Reporting: Oversee Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting, ensuring all deadlines are met. * Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports for the leasing entity. * Compliance & Taxation: * Coordinate VAT returns and related reporting. * Ensure compliance with Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes (e.g., PSA), and Indirect Taxes. * Audit Management: Support quarterly, interim, and year-end audits by providing relevant information and documentation. * Stakeholder Collaboration: * Liaise with group accounting to resolve queries and manage one-off accounting events. * Build and maintain strong relationships with external funding partners. * Operational Oversight: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract management, and administration. * Project Support: Contribute to ad hoc projects as required by the Finance Director. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with: Qualifications: CIMA, ACCA, ACA finalist or newly qualified. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an accounting role, with expertise in fixed asset accounting. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a "can-do" attitude. Problem-solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Benefits
