Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a dynamic organisation based in Thame to recruit a Senior Commercial Accountant. The Senior Commercial Accountant will receive a salary of up to £43,000 plus attractive benefits including private medical and study support!

Personality and communication are key in this role. There are elements of the position that can be taught but an individual who is proactive and willing to business partner with different departments is essential.

Primary responsibilities;

  • Supporting the renewal / creation of budgets for our clients.
  • Business partnering, ad hoc analysis & supporting business projects/initiatives.
  • Coordination and review of client reconciliations (client budget v cost incurred).
  • Production of monthly management accounts ensuring revenue recognition is in line with ASC 606, investigating variances & reporting monthly results to business partners.
  • Ownership of balance sheet and project ledger reconciliations for your account portfolio.
  • Delivering the internal plan, quarterly and ad hoc forecasts in partnership with Client Service Directors (CSD).
  • Invoicing for client activity. Monthly review with business partners of outstanding debt & unbilled production. Driving actions to ensuring optimum levels of working capital are achieved.
  • Monthly meetings with CSD's to drive our Finance agenda & optimise financial metrics.

Key experience and attributes;

  • Relevant experience of working in a financial environment.
  • ACCA/CIMA studier
  • Ability to work under own initiative, manage resources through time management skills which will involve, planning and maintaining own workload, working to tight timescales, the ability to determine relevant upward referral of issues, and producing high quality accurate work showing relevant initiative.
  • PC literate with highly developed Excel skills and intermediate Word skills.
