Quality Engineer

Our robust client are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their Team! As a Quality Engineer, you will support Quality Management in maintaining and improving the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.

Your responsibilities as a Quality Engineer will include:
• ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System: Support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the company’s QMS.
• Process Monitoring & Continual Improvement: Monitor company processes for continual improvement to meet ISO9001:2015 standards and customer expectations.
• Audit Management:
o Maintain the company’s audit plan.
o Conduct internal audits in line with ISO9001:2015 and company requirements.
• Document Control: Manage document control for the QMS using Q-Pulse.
• Quality Issues Management:
o Use Q-Pulse to manage quality issues, determine corrective actions (CA), and implement improvements.
o Monitor and analyse quality issues to ensure timely resolution and enhancement.
• Management Review & Training:
o Manage management review meetings and track associated actions.
o Maintain and monitor the training and skills matrix for continuous development.
• Quality Objectives: Monitor and maintain quality objectives to drive company performance.
• Supplier and Customer Analysis:
o Conduct defect analysis for subcontractors.
o Perform trend analysis on customer repairs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Additional Production Duties:
o Support production activities as required, including assembly, repair, and testing.
o Become proficient in using the company’s MRP system for production-related tasks.

To excel in this role as a Quality Engineer, you should have:
• A competent understanding of ISO9001:2015 and experience working with Quality Management Systems.
• Experience conducting internal audits and maintaining audit schedules.
• Analytical skills to conduct trend analysis and defect analysis.
• Strong organisational skills, including experience managing document control and action tracking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
