Description
A Credit Controller's responsibilities:
- Managing the timely collection of all debts and customer payments
- Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are cleared for payment
- Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
- Processing and reconciliation of invoices
- Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
- Ensuring all transactions are compliant with the company's policies
- Preparing monthly financial statements
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and debt collection
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Superb communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software programs
