My Thame based client is looking for a Class 1 Driver.
Reporting to the Transport Manager duties will include:
- Collecting and delivering freight.
- The majority of the work will be loaded or unloaded using forklift trucks but there might still be an element of electric pallet trucks work required.
- There will also be an element of physical work when making some deliveries.
Successful candidates will have:
- CPC C1 qualification required.
- You will ensure all health and safety regulations are met and be proactive in ensuring your CPC training is up to date (paid for by our client).
- Good communication skills will be expected, and any issues will need to be raised through the appropriate channels in a professional manner.
- Previous experience of at least one year driving a class 1 vehicle and experience working night shifts would be preferred but not essential.
Working hours are 45 per week Monday to Friday.
Shift patterns 4.30am-2.30pm and occasionally 7am - 5pm with an hour lunch break. Paid overtime Saturday mornings 4am - 12 once per month.
Salary 34-37K depending on experience with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
