PRODUCTION & LOGISTICS ASSISTANT – THAME, OXON

We have an excellent opportunity to join a division of a global organisation based in Thame.  The company prides itself on its excellent customer service and its efficiency in the production of bespoke equipment to its clients and delivery.  

We are supporting the Company to find a very special individual who is capable of taking on a variety of responsibilities and is self-  motivated and quick to learn.

What you will need to carry out this job:

Experience of working in a production and/or logistics environment

Able to lift goods and be able to work around production and warehouse areas.

Keen attention to detail, well organised and methodical

Good communication skills face to face and over the telephone 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Processing and shipping of parts

Assisting the Logistics Operative with goods in, goods out and stock control

Picking and packing and despatch of sales and service orders achieving deadlines

Receiving of goods, booking them in, carrying out inspections of components and goods and storage of components in accordance with company processes and procedures including ISO

Loading and unloading of vehicles and placing items in their allocated place

Liaison with transport companies and couriers

Raising, issuing and completing works orders using the in house system

Undertaking checks and inspections of tools, machinery, PPE and other items as requested

Advising of any shortages of goods/parts and any delays to procurement and management

Stock taking and audits

Keeping work spaces clean and tidy

Adhering to company Health & Safety procedures.
