Production & Logistics Assistant – Thame, Oxon

Do you have a background in Production or Logistics? Are you seeking a permanent role to start ASAP?

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a division of a global organisation based in Thame. This company prides itself on providing excellent customer service and efficient production and delivery of bespoke equipment to its clients.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and quick-learning individual who is capable of taking on a variety of responsibilities and is self-motivated.

What you need for this role:

  • Experience in a production and/or logistics environment
  • Able to lift goods and work in production and warehouse areas
  • Attention to detail, organisation, and methodical approach
  • Effective communication skills, both in person and over the phone

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing and shipping parts
  • Assisting the Logistics Operative with goods in, goods out, and stock control
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching sales and service orders within set deadlines
  • Receiving, booking in, and inspecting components and goods, following company processes and procedures (including ISO)
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and organising items in designated areas
  • Communicating with transport companies and couriers
  • Creating, issuing, and completing works orders using the in-house system
  • Performing checks and inspections on tools, machinery, PPE, and other items as needed
  • Reporting any shortages, delays, or issues with goods/parts to management
  • Conducting stock takes and audits
  • Maintaining clean and tidy workspaces
  • Adhering to company Health & Safety procedures
