The Role:

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are seeking a passionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to bring their expertise to its well established and supportive multi-disciplinary therapy team. Working on a long-term contract, you’ll thrive on finding strategies to meet a range of patient specific needs and goals, whilst providing exceptional care that supports our mature patients on their journey to greater independence.

What you can add:

  • Providing triage, comprehensive specialist assessment, review, case management and evaluation of the needs of patients and carers
  • Being responsible for planning programmes of care to promote health gain and maximise independence, actively case managing patients through their journeys
  • Allocating appropriate workloads to members of the Rapid Response & Intermediate Care (RRIC) team
  • Working with a range of professionals in order to ensure care is appropriate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrating professional skills and competence in leadership, care planning / co-ordination, and care and treatment delivery.

What you will need:

  • Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent & NHS experience
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and reflective practice
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Previous NHS experience is preferred but not essential
  • Full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
