Position: Mechanical Supervisor - Water

Location: Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire

Salary Guide: 40,000 - 50,000 Plus Package

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. They provide design and build services for new and existing infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets.

They are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor who will supervise and control all mechanical site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, that they are met at all times and checking that sub-contractors are working to approved designs and test documents.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all staff, supply chain partners and visitors.
  • Reviewing and commenting on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan.
  • Supporting the development of commissioning documentation on a continuous basis, including outage management plans.
  • Supervising work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions
  • Reviewing and signing off project ITPs, ensuring that they are managed through Kier's common data environment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the Water industry with competent judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical installations
  • Good working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant / equipment.
  • Understanding of Mechanical Test Regimes
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Thames Water Passport
