Reed Accountancy currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Thatcham based client in a permanent, full-time position.This is an integral role reporting to the Directors for a growing Logistics business. This company have been expanding year upon year and provide an outstanding level of service to their clients.
You will have ownership of the full 360 accounting process alongside a part time member of staff. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a small finance team and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.Â
Duties for the role include
- Ownership of Purchase Ledger and Sales ledger
- Credit Control
- Supplier invoice approval, payment proposals and payments
- Expense reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Post payments to accounts and allocate as required
- Supporting the FD with Monthly Management Accounts, cashflow statements and VAT returns

Knowledge of SAGE 50 would be advantageous alongside confident Excel skills. Suitable candidates will have experience of working within varied accounting roles as well as having strong communication skills, an investigative mind and strong attention to detail.
The role will initially be full office based before moving to a hybrid model upon successful completion of probation. Working hours are 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes lunch. Free parking is available alongside close to links to both bus and train stations.
