About the Role

You'll be responsible for setting, operating and running Milling centres to produce transmission components to the company quality standards. You will be carrying out programming and editing functions to produce high quality components to drawing specifications.

Consulting with engineers/machinists to manufacture work-holding fixtures and devices, undertake day to day maintenance of machines and your working area alongside consulting with production control for work requirements. Youll also be required to complete Quality Control Plans and other documentation to support our high quality standard.

In this role, you will be working in a machine shop environment.


Day to Day

Were looking for people with either a strong machining background or who have completed an engineering apprenticeship. Sound working knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes is required. Extensive experience within a Motorsport/Automotive/Aerospace environment is highly advantageous due to comparable quality and delivery requirements in those industries.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in setting, programming, editing and operating vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines, along with practical tool making experience. We also need you to be able to understand comprehensive engineering drawings and instructions. In addition, the ability to visualise finished products and an understanding of the properties of the materials we work with (soft and hard steels, aluminium and magnesium) is critical.

Ideally you will have good working knowledge of Fanuc controls plus ideally appropriate CAD/CAM systems, such as EdgeCAM or Siemens NX. You will ideally have knowledge of Matsuura CNC Milling machines, but training will be given.


Shift Patterns

Days = Mon- Fri: 08:00-17:00

Nights = Mon-Thurs: 19:00 06:00

Weekends = Fri-Sun: 06:00-18:30

Shift Allowance Premium = 30% uplift for nights and a 25% uplift for weekend
