Reed Accountancy are delighted to be supporting a Thatcham-based client in their current requirement for a Credit Controller. With over 40 years experience in their industry, this client prides themselves on their strong customer service with clients across the UK.

Due to growth within the business, our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller who can hit the ground running. Knowledge of SAGE 200 or a large ERP system would be beneficial. This is a permanent role which will be initially office based during the probation period before moving to a hybrid model with 1-2 days working from home. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Proactively chasing payments from customers via telephone and email
  • Checking incoming payments and ensuring they are accurately recorded
  • Reconciling the sales ledger to maintain accurate financial records
  • Addressing and resolving any discrepancies or queries related to payment
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment

Required Skills:

  • Previous and recent credit control experience (ideally minimum 3 years)
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The company offers free onsite parking and is close to public transport routes. Working hours are 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
