Exciting Opportunity: Fire & Security Engineers in Berkshire
Peopleforce Recruitment is thrilled to support the growth of a well-established Fire & Security company based in Berkshire. Due to a surge in projects and increasing demand, the company is looking to expand its team by bringing on two experienced Fire & Security Engineers.The ideal candidates will be customer-focused, take pride in their workmanship, and excel both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a friendly demeanor are essential. The travel requirements to London for this position are fairly low and account for less than 10% of the works.
About the Role

- Commissioning, installation, and servicing of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
- Working in commercial and industrial B2B settings, delivering high-quality solutions.
- Opportunities for growth: Develop expertise in data systems, fiber optics, Wi-Fi solutions, and other cabling-related tasks. (Bonus if you already have experience in these areas!)

Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire and/or security systems, with exposure to a range of brands.
- Familiarity with various intruder panels (e.g., Texecom, Galaxy, Scantronic) and fire systems (e.g., Twinflex, Kentec, CTec).
- Proven expertise in conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- FIA-recognized qualifications (preferred).
- Understanding of fire and intruder system regulations.
- Electrical qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
- A full, clean driving license.
- Additional certifications (e.g., PASMA, IPAF, CSCS, Security Clearance) are desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire and security alarm systems to a professional standard.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system faults while meeting maintenance and installation targets.
- Educate customers on system operations, including false alarm causes and prevention.
- Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion, actively participating in cabling tasks and other support roles.
- Uphold company policies, especially regarding the protection of sensitive customer information.
Work Details
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Overtime opportunities available.
- Occasional travel and overnight stays required.
- On call requirements - 1/6 weeks on call with standby rates time and a half Monday - Saturday and double time on Sunday. Includes pay per call out but a lot can be completed remotely!
