Our client is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their dynamic team. As a Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, working on bottling, canning, keg, and cask production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Shift Leader to execute the packaging plan
  • Independently handle canning, bottling, kegging, and cask filling operations
  • Ensure line set up, changeovers, and clearance are completed efficiently
  • Maintain accurate production logs and ensure compliance with external accreditation standards
  • Take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all production areas
  • Assist engineers with line maintenance when needed
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency by recording machine downtime
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in audits

Requirements:

  • Own mode of transport is essential due to location
  • Experience in production line operations preferred
  • Forklift Truck licence or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to manage workload independently with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated during quieter production times
  • Familiarity with HACCP and good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift weights up to 15kg regularly
