We are searching for a Finance Manager with broad-ranging Finance Department experience, to join an international consultancy in the Thatcham area. The successful candidate will take the lead in overseeing end-to-end finance functions of our growing business entities. Working in a small, fast-paced environment, you'll handle everything from financial reporting to global transactions, making a tangible impact on our operations. This opportunity is based fully onsite Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes across multiple business entities
- Oversee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Complete month-end processes, VAT returns, and overseas VAT transactions
- Effectively use Xero and QuickBooks to manage accounts and financial records
- Manage foreign currency transactions and ensure accuracy in global operations
- Collaborate with international teams, including availability to take an occasional call Monday to Friday out of hours to support US based clients
Role Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualification, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Proven experience in AP, AR, payroll, VAT returns, and Intrastat transactions
- Ideally a Finance degree or equivalent
- Ability to support multiple entities and adapt to a small business environment
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with stakeholders via email, phone, and face-to-face
- Flexible attitude, willingness to work collaboratively on operational tasks
