We are excited to have a vacancy for a Specialist KS2 Teacher to join our team at a fantastic, inclusive SEN school in Thatcham. Our school educates students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs so we are looking for a Specialist KS2 Teacher that has an understanding of special educational needs. Our school is committed to helping students re-engage with their education and re-ignite their excitement and motivation for learning! We want to welcome a dedicated Specialist KS2 Teacher to supporting students as soon as possible!

The school has set their sights on welcoming a new teacher, with the aim of providing children with high standards of education and personalised support, tailored to their needs. As a Specialist KS2 Teacher, the role involves planning and delivering a varying curriculum to children with additional needs related to speech, communication, cognitive skills and sensory/physical requirements.

Specialist KS2 Teacher Key Responsibilities:

Supporting a class of 4-5 students
Planning, leading and teaching classroom activities
Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCP's
Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated and inspired by linking their personal interests to the curriculum
Working closely with Teaching Assistants so they can effectively support pupils
