Mechanical Estimator
The company are an established, independently ownedand well-respected Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning contractor who provide a full range of HVAC services from design through to installation and commissioning to various sectors including Commercial, Private Hospitals, and Laboratories, with typical project values ranging from 100k up to 2m, and as a result of continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join the team.
Mechanical Estimator - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and related documents to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather relevant information for accurate estimates.
- Review and assess bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Communicate and present estimates to project teams and clients.
- Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a HVAC estimator or mechanical building services estimator.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Remuneration Package:
65,000 - 70,000 according to experience, plus Bonus scheme, Private Healthcare, Pension, 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
