About the Role

If you are looking to accelerate your career working with a world-leading supplier of transmissions for motorsports and ultra-high performance hypercars, then look no further.

We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced production engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic and passionate team.

As part of the production engineering team, you will be responsible for advising designers about relevant manufacturing issues and dealing with general manufacturing queries from your colleagues, sub-contract suppliers and customers.

You will have production engineering responsibility across multiple projects, requiring good initiative and ingenuity and working to tight deadlines.

Your sound working knowledge of manufacturing, will be key to you developing Xtracs processes and manufacturing techniques.


About You

You will be a confident, flexible, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of working with procedures, controls, and quality standards.

A proven knowledge of both manual and CNC multi-axis machining techniques in Turning / Milling and Grinding would be advantageous, as would knowledge of gear manufacturing principles.

Understanding methods of jigs and fixturing is also part of this job.

An ability to create tooling using our NX CAD system or a comparable system is a requirement, but training will be provided.

An awareness of ERP/ MRP systems and the ability to create manufacturing routings would also be advantageous.

Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering related discipline, ideally you will have at least three years post qualifying experience within a production engineering team in manufacturing.

You will have the ability to work under pressure, have a robust approach to problem solving and an ability to forge good working relationships with your colleagues.

Strong influencing skills are essential, along with good organisational and IT skills.
