Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing

Based in West Berkshire – 3 month rolling contract

Panama Shifts (12hr) – Day and Nights

Outside IR35 £33ph

Second largest manufacturer in the UK holding a third of the market has a huge turnover nationally in excess of £300 million with 17 sites across the UK, following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the internal team and to ensure downtime is to a minimum whilst maintaining standards of a variety of equipment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.

Reactive maintenance is a priority and will include fault finding and replacing components on a variety of machines.
Preventative maintenance
Swapping components on a variety of equipment such as, conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, Kilns, and more
Installation and fitting of mechanical components to machinery

The Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.

Previous mechanical experience within a heavy-duty industrial site is a must.
Mechanical fitting and installation experience will be favourable along with fault finding and repairing
Mechanical engineering qualification
Apprenticeship is preferred.

The benefits of this Maintenance Engineer contract are the following.

Established rolling 3-month contract
Panama Shifts including day and nights
Minimum of 40 hours per week available
Outside IR35 Pay
