Our client is looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their ever growing residential team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a significant role in managing costs and budgets throughout the process of the construction project.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record of success
  • Excellent knowledge of cost management principles and practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Must have Residential Developer experience

Responsibilities:

  • Cost control and reporting
  • Contract administration
  • Procurement and tendering
  • Risk management
  • Valuations
  • Payments
  • Site meetings, project team meetings, subcontractor meetings, surveying meetings as required
  • Working closely with contractors, suppliers and clients
  • Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorisation for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works.
  • Carry out pre-order meetings including all necessary Health & Safety requirements, finalising a tender sum and agreeing a stage payment schedule for payment purposes before preparing all contract documentation and placing the order
