Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager. The role involves supporting all areas of the Logistics department, including Planning, Despatch, Transport, and the broader Supply Chain. You will work closely with the Internal Sales Team, focusing on problem-solving to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day processes across all departments.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Uphold health and safety as the first priority, participating in initiatives that improve the wellbeing of employees.
  • Ensure the IT system (SAP) is updated with the necessary parameters for correct delivery dates, production planning, and transport management.
  • Provide planning support for holidays and absence cover across the region.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to review and support the daily load plan, aiming for efficient and error-free loading by the despatch team.
  • Assist the despatch team and production with the management and receipting of materials as needed.
  • Engage in QRQC sessions, using problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
  • Monitor and report on aged stock daily, coordinating with the customer service manager for resolution.
  • Support the OTIF process in transport cost settlement within SAP.
  • Offer daily support to internal sales and third-party hauliers with problem-solving activities.
  • Participate in project teams across the business, including work on paper and SLA agreements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in PC use and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP and GPT is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel and computer knowledge, as well as logistics systems.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Experience in a busy and fast-paced environment, with the drive and determination to succeed.
  • A background in logistics/planning is preferred.
