Here at GXO Thatcham, we are recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our team, working in partnership with a prestigious, high-performance running footwear and apparel brand. As a Transport Administrator, you will be at the forefront of our transportation operations, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency.

This is a full-time and permanent position, working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00– 16:30.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Process import and export orders and the respective shipping processes with prioritisation of different shipments
  • Plan load configurations to maximise transport unit capacity whilst maintaining consignment integrity and

safety

  • Ensure all aspects of Dangerous Goods requiring transportation are complied with, liaising with DG

appointed person and the Transportation Manager

  • Arrange despatch based on client routing guidelines, and booking via different carrier/client portals, while sending communications, informing client about the shipping dates or any possible delays

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience in a transport operations environment is preferable
  • Good knowledge of E-commerce/distribution operations
  • Strong communication skills, and excellent organisation skills with an eye for detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative and organise own workload
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is a must
